As a USource member, you have become acquainted with USource emailing employment law poster or notice updates. In the webinar, we will discuss the reason and changes in the employment law posters or notices. Also, we will explain the reason why you may be provided the Spanish (or another language in addition to English) version of the poster. We will share facts about the posters/notices that you may not be aware of.
The employment law posters/notices assist employers in creating policies. 2023 has been the year of new state and federal employment laws that have necessitated changes to employer’s policies. With employment law changes that impact a Bank’s policies, USource provides members up-to-date verbiage so that the Bank is compliant with the new state or federal laws through the policies provided employees.
There are a lot of changes for employers to handle through employment law poster updates, which evolve into a change in policies, and eventually are inserted into the employee handbook for up-to-date policies. USource partners with members and on occasion with non-USource members to review, update and at times, totally re-write policies in an employee handbook. An employee handbook is an essential resource for employers and employees as it shares historical events in the Bank, enforces policies and procedures, communicates expectations through mission and vision statements, answers employee’s questions, complies with employment laws and ultimately provides a defense for legal circumstances.
