The American Disabilities Act continues to be one of the most difficult and confusing of federal equal employment opportunity laws. Without at least a general understanding of this complex law, you will not be prepared when a situation arises at your bank. After reviewing the basic concepts, we will highlight recently released guidance by the EEOC on specific types of reasonable accommodations for people with cancer, intellectual disabilities, and mental health issues.

•  Should an employer provide counseling to an employee who is suspected of having an eating disorder?
•  Can the employer communicate directly with the employee's doctor regarding the employee's condition and possible accommodations?
•  Is moodiness considered a covered disability?
•  What types of reasonable accommodations may employees with cancer need?

USource webinars are complementary for USource members and $75 for non-USource members. If you are not sure if your bank is a member, please call 866.394.1984 for clarification.
