2012 USource Summer HR Seminars

08.09.12

USource seminars provide you with a unique opportunity to network with other community bank officers with human resource responsibilities. Information regarding the following topics will be presented:

  • Benefit Legislation and Regulations: We will provide an overview of ERISA, Pension Protection Act, COBRA, IRS, HIPPA, etc. and how they impact the benefits we provide to our employees.
  • Health and Welfare Plans: Most of us are familiar with the plans we have, but do you know what else is available? We will review different types of medical and prescription plans, dental plans, life insurance, disability, Section 125, health reimbursement accounts (HRA), and Health Savings Accounts (HSA).
  • Leave Plans: Flexibility is increasingly important to our employees. We'll look at vacation, sick, holidays, PTO, personal days, volunteer hours, time off for children's activities and any other creative time-off plans.
  • Affirmative Action Plan, EEO-1, and Vets 100: These regulations can be cumbersome and overwhelming. We will provide an overview of the processes, discuss the elements of an affirmative action plan, and provide some forms for easier data-gathering.

Four Sessions Will Be Offered:

Monday, July 30th in Mankato, MN
Tuesday, July 31st in Bloomington, MN
Thursday, August 2nd in Alexandria, MN
Thursday, August 9th in Grand Rapids, MN
