UBB's sales and marketing officers breathe community banking because that's where they started themselves. All of these talented professionals came to UBB with years of experience in a range of relevant disciplines, from operations and lending to cash management, investments and more.
John came to UBB in 2002 after 16 years working in retail bank operations, lending and branch management for First National Bank of Chaska, Minnesota and U.S. Bank. He studied finance and economics at Minnesota State University Mankato, and has a bachelor's degree in business administration, as well as a bachelor's degree in law enforcement.
Tyson joined UBB in 2013 after 11 years as the Director of Marketing and Sales for Northwoods Bank of Minnesota. Tyson graduated from Bemidji State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing and small business management.
Jay joined UBB in 2001 with 7 years of banking experience. He has experience in both lending and management. He started in banking as a trainee at TCF Bank in 1994, rising to lending management before moving on run the loan department at a smaller financial institution in 1997. Jay has a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota.
Todd joined UBB in 2001 and is an authority in credit administration, commercial lending, bank stock lending, and fed funds borrowing. He attained a bachelor's degree in Finance from St. Cloud State University and has completed commercial lending courses from the American Institute of Banking, the Risk Management Association, and the National Commercial Lending School in Oklahoma. Todd has over 24 years of banking experience with Twin Cities metro community banks, including Citizens Independent Bank in St. Louis Park, the former Richfield Bank & Trust Co. in Richfield, and BankCherokee in St. Paul.
Prior to joining UBB, Bellefy was a Vice President and Relationship Manager, for Midwest Independent Bank, calling on community banks throughout the state of Iowa. Bellefy's past experiences also include, Director of Business Development at van Wagenen Financial Services in Eden Prairie, MN as well as Business Development Manager for MLN Wholesale Division, Chicago, IL. Bellefy is a graduate of St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA with a Bachelor's of Art's Degree in Economics and Finance. In addition to having served on various ABA and ICBA committees, he is also a member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Tony Venditte joined the United Bankers' Bank Correspondent Sales Team in January 2015 as the AVP/Correspondent Banking Officer for Nebraska. Prior to UBB, he spent 15 years working with community banks in a number of different positions while at FISERV. Tony received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Marketing from Doane College and went on to receive his Masters in Finance and Marketing from Bellevue University.
Todd joined United Bankers' Bank in 2008, bringing with him over 18 years of lending experience, primarily working for community banks. Prior to becoming a UBB Correspondent Banking Officer in 2014, Todd spent the previous 6 years in the lending department. Todd received his MBA from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota and is currently a licensed Mortgage Broker and Life and Property & Casualty Insurance Agent.
Craig joined UBB in 2000 and has 18+ years of bankers' bank experience in correspondent banking, operations and investments. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and has completed coursework at the Jack T. Conn Graduate School of Community Banking and Meinders Graduate School of Business, Oklahoma City University, and Wilson Learning Center, Minneapolis.
Rick Smith, a prominent Oregon banker with more than 30 years of experience in retail, commercial and mortgage banking, leads the UBB sales effort in the Pacific Northwest.
His banking career started right after graduation from the University of Oregon in 1976 when he joined branch operations for First Interstate Bank of Oregon. He moved on to West One Bank where he worked his way into the executive suite and created a loan operations center that served 35 branch locations. Smith filled out his resume with experience in residential and commercial mortgages before joining senior management at Mid-Valley Bank to oversee lending operations. Rick continues his industry education through the American Institute of Banking and the Oregon Bankers Association.
Pat is a former Michigan banker with more than 23 years experience in commercial credit and lending, His banking career started right after graduation from Eastern Michigan University, where he received his bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in finance. He is also a 2009 alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis.
