UBB's sales and marketing officers breathe community banking because that's where they started themselves. All of these talented professionals came to UBB with years of experience in a range of relevant disciplines, from operations and lending to cash management, investments and more.
Chuck manages all marketing and sales initiatives at UBB. He also oversees the IT department and other bank product and consulting services. Chuck joined UBB in 1985 after working for regional bank holding companies. His education includes a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota.
John came to UBB in 2002 after 16 years working in retail bank operations, lending and branch management for First National Bank of Chaska, Minn., and U.S. Bank. He studied finance and economics at Minnesota State University Mankato, and has a bachelor's degree in business administration, as well as a bachelor's degree in law enforcement.
Jay joined UBB in 2001 with 7 years of banking experience. He has experience in both lending and management. He started in banking as a trainee at TCF Bank in 1994, rising to lending management before moving on run the loan department at a smaller financial institution in 1997. Jay has a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota.

Teresa Brown, Assistant Vice President, Central and Eastern Iowa
Teresa joined UBB in 2005 with a background in business credit and vendor-side experience in payments and technology. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.
Christopher Denney, Vice President, Western Iowa and Nebraska
With a background in retail bank management at the branch, district and regional levels, Chris was a perfect candidate for correspondent officer when he joined UBB in 2004. He has bachelor's degrees in agricultural business and in finance from Iowa State University.
James is an expert in cash management, treasury management and bank operations. He joined UBB in 2005 with 16 years experience working with banks in California where he focused on cash vault operations, counterfeit detection and cash management operations and sales.
Craig joined UBB in 2000 and has 18 years of bankers' bank experience in correspondent banking, operations and investments. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma and has completed coursework at the Jack T. Conn Graduate School of Community Banking and Meinders Graduate School of Business, Oklahoma City University, and Wilson Learning Center, Minneapolis.
Rick Smith, a prominent Oregon banker with more than 30 years of experience in retail, commercial and mortgage banking, leads the UBB sales effort in the Pacific Northwest.
His banking career started right after graduation from the University of Oregon in 1976 when he joined branch operations for First Interstate Bank of Oregon. He moved on to West One Bank where he worked his way into the executive suite and created a loan operations center that served 35 branch locations. Smith filled out his resume with experience in residential and commercial mortgages before joining senior management at Mid-Valley Bank to oversee lending operations. Rick continues his industry education through the American Institute of Banking and the Oregon Bankers Association.
Pat Burnette, Vice President, Michigan
Pat is a former Michigan banker with more than 23 years experience in commercial credit and lending, His banking career started right after graduation from Eastern Michigan University, where he received his bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in finance. He is also a 2009 alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis.
